Held workshops for gathering material for amending and supplementing the NS2021-2025
In the period from 08.05-18.05.2023, in the premises of the State Commission for Prevention of Corruption (SCPC), with expert support from the International Foundation for Electoral Systems (IFES), a total of nine workshops were held for the collection and preparation of material for amendment and supplementing the National Strategy for the Prevention of Corruption and Conflict of Interest 2021-2025 (NS2021-2025).
Bearing in mind that in accordance with the Law on Prevention of Corruption and Conflict of Interest, the amendment of the national strategy is being prepared in a procedure as well as for its adoption, i.e. with participation of representatives of state bodies, institutions, associations, foundations, the private sector and the media, at the held workshops, in addition to the host institutions and the institutions involved in the realization of the activities determined by the Action Plan of NS2021-2025, representatives of the Platform of Civil Organizations for the Fight against Corruption, as well as other non-governmental organizations or associations of citizens and experts from the relevant fields, were invited of the individual considered sectors or horizontal areas.
At each of these workshops, which referred to one or more sectors/areas from NS2021-2025, the already determined measures and activities, the degree of their realization and the current status were reviewed in detail, based on the analysis of the two annual reports on the implementation of NS2021 -2025, as well as the proposals and suggestions given by the participants, the engaged experts gathered information and materials that will serve them to prepare a proposal for amending and supplementing the National Strategy.
After determining the final text of the amendments and supplements, the SCSC will adopt a Decision for amending and supplementing the NS2021-2025 and will submit it to the Assembly of the Republic of North Macedonia.
