Information in relation to the DENIAL of the Municipality of Kumanovo
With respect to the Denial, published on the website of the Municipality of Kumanovo on 23.04.2021, stating that, “The statement of the member of the SCPC – Nuri Bajrami and the findings of the SCPC regarding the alleged abuse of office by the Mayor of the Municipality of Kumanovo, during the allocation of funds for the implementation of the Program for development of sports and recreational activities of the citizens in the Municipality of Kumanovo for 2019.”, are incorrect due to the incomplete and incorrectly determined factual situation, The State Commission for Prevention of Corruption informs the public about the following:
The case in question does not regard the statement of the member of the SCPC – Nuri Bajrami, but it regards the Decision of the State Commission for Prevention of Corruption adopted during its competent action on a case established upon a report and this Decision was adopted by the SCPC as a collective body by majority votes at a regular public session, held on 22.04.2021.
The Decision in question was adopted on the basis of Article 22 and Article 23 paragraph 1 of the Law on Prevention of Corruption and Conflict of Interest (“Official Gazette of the Republic of Macedonia” No. 12/2019) and Articles 40 and 41 of the Rules of Procedure of the State Commission for Prevention of Corruption and it was published on the website of the SCPC within the legally prescribed deadline.
