TAIEX expert mission on establishment of an Analytical Centre in the SCPC
The State Commission for Prevention of Corruption successfully uses the TAIEX short-term technical assistance for fulfilling its competence. Hence, from 07.02.2023 to 09.02.2023, the TAIEX expert mission on establishment of an Analytical Centre in the SCPC was carried out. For this purpose, the European Commission hired the expert Margarita Dobrynina from the Republic of Lithuania, who held meetings with relevant stakeholders namely: the President of the SCPC and the members of the SCPC, the General Secretary, the employees of the Secretariat of the SCPC, the Ministry of Justice, and representatives of civil society organizations – members of the Platform of non-governmental organizations for the fight against corruption. The aim of the expert mission is to assess the current situation of the institutional and organisational set-up and legislation with the aim to propose recommendations for the most expedient possible solutions for the introduction of an Analytical Centrе in the SCPC. The aim of setting up an Analytical Centre within the SCPC is to strengthen the institutional and organisational capacities to prevent corruption, as well as to raise integrity and the level of trust of citizens.
